Abstract

In this paper we verify if gender aspects are included in women's journalism courses in Brazil. We did quantitative research, using the survey method, with 211 informants who have an undergraduate degree or are graduating in the area. The results indicate that the respondents had little incentive to produce gender-focused content, but this gap is greater for graduates from private universities. Public universities tend to provide more contact with such discussions, but it is still insufficient. However, we have identified possible recent changes in the way courses have been dealing with gender issues.
